I totally agree with you. True marxists are always on the side of the workers.

Among the well known ones, Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky, Luxemburg and Liebknecht come to my mind.

Clearly an old person like you can serve a young comrade a lot of facts and details to prove his right unless he wants to be considered by the young one nothing else but a bad joke.

Marx and Engels were by all means dreamers...theorists. Communism is possible, and so is true democracy- but both are unlikely to become because the current ruling classes wouldn't like losing power. Your statement is completely lacking in any sense (not surprising ), isn't democracy a dream as well? What do you call the philosophers who thought of it- pipe dreamers? US democracy is no true democracy- just like the CCCP was no true communism (but both represent their political ideologies)...your statement is invalid.

Lenin and Trotsky, however, I could understand. Lenin made a huge mistake with his attempts at collectivization- man was a genius, but didn't think it through completely...but there's much more to it...Trotsky on the other hand, was not a mass murderer, but a potential mass murderer, if his ideas of eternal revolution were to have been followed by Lenin (who was against it, I believe), then there would have been true mass murder on the global scale.

I don't know from where you come with Libkneht- the man was a strict anti-militarist! He was the only member of the SPD/Reichstag, if my memory serves me right, who was against the war! He was jailed for pacifism!
Rosa Luxemburg was also jailed for pacifism and was no terrorist, but wrote a few communist (and a bit anti-Bolshevik) books. They were a problem for the fascists and were executed, without them, the Nazis could have come to power much quicker.
