I doubt American army have enough bullets in storages to fight China

Talking seriously, where did this conversations about war between China and USA come from? Chinese aren't an agressive nation. Their energy is pointed to within (grammar?). Americans want to create an enemy for themselves once again? Are you getting bored without USSR?

Alex,

I don't know about how China became an issue. Someone brought it up, and I responded in pretty much the same way you did in your follow up. China has become a rather large trade partner with the US, and even with disagreement over Taiwan, I think relations have become pretty good between the countries since Nixon made the first visit years ago. I don't view China as an enemy, and I think economic ties will pave the way for even better political relations as time goes by. My older brother visits Hong Kong and other places in China regualrly for busisness, and Hong Kong has become one of his favorite stops for a short vacation as well.

I wish for the day when Russia and the US develop economic volume at that level, and when a trip between Moscow and New York is as easy to plan for as a trip between Hong Kong and New York.

i dont think so chinese kids are not making toys by hand, that requires craftsman skills not even available today. the plastics are molded from tools not supplied by US, the machines are not made in US, the parts have to fit etc, USA has export restriction against china they cant sell anything to china after 1995 when there was chinagate incident. Even ane levator is against restrictions cuz it might end up in a nuclear facility. Computer boards are not made by a kid, a computer and motor did it, if these 2 things were made in USA, then 5 cents an hour doesnt matter 6 dollars and hour is not a big deal on final cost, a machine can make computer boards at rate of 1 every minute, 1 hour is 60 boards, each selling for 50$, 6$ is NOT a big deal. Most made in china products at walmart were never meant for US market, contract manufacturing only exploded recently. Its very simple economics, if walmart sold romanian watches no one would wanna shell out even 10 bucks for them, they are designed ugly and technologically not up to date and if the exchange rates were not so against romania this is due mainly because no one want to buy their products, romanian watched would be sold at rolex prices.

well, i quite agree with voyager and indeed there shouldn't be any questions about individual bickerings between different nations and instead the world should head towards a general condition of peace, co-operation and positive and gainsome trade. furthermore, since the US is undisputedly the present world power, it should take up the initiative for this, more so since the united nations has proved to be nothing but a mere international official dummy.

Germany

Germany had some really cool military technology in World War II but since then I haven't heard much to suggest their military hardware is better than other countries. It would have been interesting to see what sort of stuff they could have developed post-1945 but the nazi regime was so aggressive that it had to be destroyed.
