Canada used to have much more in common with Russia and socialism. Today the leaders of Canada seem to want more in common with the USA and their ways of handling problems.

So now we have imported the very same circumstances that cause people to fall.

If you play by the rules that permit unquestioned flow of capital for the interests of only those who control the capital, this is but one of the results.

If you mean reduction of government responsibility, unbridled Neo-Liberal markets, and a move to decentralisation then yes Canada is very much becoming like the U.S...

I personally believe that Health and education should be universal and public as they are too important to put a price on... But now one (in Ontario and Alberta) has to pay healthcare premiums and still get minimal if any healthcare (it seems Mr. Harris got his wish)...
