They said the reason is that they fear the nation would split if this wasn't done. Looks like they are loosing Chechnya.

I do think that Russia should excist. But why does it have to be so HUGE! It could be limited to.. hmm.. kamchatka! Wouldn't that make you happy?

I'm sure that would make him feel responsible and important.

Seriously, I do understand, from his point of view, why he does what he does. It's just that I don't look at things from his point of view, if Russia can't stay in one peice in a natural way, then it shouldn't.

The only region which is held by force is chechnya, but as people already told you in your threat, it must be and told you why and told you that everyone would be happy if it would disappear.
