as many of u watches the 2004 debate about who will be the president and what Kerrey and Bush said how to make the country beter. Kerrey has said that if he will become a president of US, he will be sure to disarm Russia of all nuclear weapons. As he is thinking that Russia is a terrorostic threat. He acused Bush of not doing such actions, and said that he will be sire to do it if he is the president. Bush replied to him saying that Russia soes not cause a threat to the world. That gets be pissed off, because Russia is battling with terrorists themselfs, but Kerrey sees it in a diff. way. I think that Russia wont even let US go there and sneak around just to get rid of some weapons, russia wont even aloow them to do so, as US doesnt have the power to do so, since its not their country, and if War is the answer, then it will get serious.

I want your feedback on this if u watched the debate, then ull know what i am talking about. and if u didnt watch it, just from what it says here tell me what u think if US would do such thing

I didn't watch the debates. But I do recall that Kerry had that stance on Russia. I think its absurd of him. I don't know: I really don't like Bush, but if Kerry thinks this way, I think I'd rather have Bush as president (I mean at least on this issue).

I didn't see exact quote of Kerry, but if he really said that US should "disarm Russia of all nuclear weapons", I must say that guy simply lives in twisted reality and needs some medical treatment and isolation. But the other candidate isn't better. We Russians have a saying "khren red'ki ne slasche" the closest equivalent of which is "there is small choice in rotten apples". I think this is the case where this saying can be applied. Actually, it can be applied to every US election... If I had such poor choice during our elections, in Russia, I would have said tha Russia lacks some pluralism. But fortunatelly, we choose between really different ways every time.

ye, but thats what Kerry said on the debate. i dont understand how stupid he is and he campaign managers bt how is he gone just go to Russia and do whatever he feels like doing. In my opinion if kerry will get alected, he is going to mess alot of things up like no other. Bush would be beter off since he knows how to deal with war and all.

What he was refering to is the agreements between Russia and the US where the US is funding the cleanup and conversion of nuclear materials from warheads removed from service under various arms treaties, as well as nuclear fuel sitting in rotting submarine hulls. That has been going on for a number of years now. Kerry and some others seem to think that Russian nuclear material is not safe from theft, and think Bush should have spent more money faster than he has been spending it on the project.

Russia claims the material is safe, and I tend to think they have a better handle on it than Kerry does. In any event, the program has nothing to do with Russia's ready nuclear arsenal, and Russia lobbied for it in the first place, as it puts millions of Dollars into the Russian economy, and provides many good jobs for Russians working in the program. The same program has pumped more millions into upgrading security at a number of Russian nuclear storage facilities.

All at American taxpayer expense, so John Kerry and the rest of his friends can sleep better at night.
