Despite it's growing pains, Russia is still one of the very few most powerful nations on Earth today. What role would your fantasy offer Russia? Would Russia "fix" the Ivory Coast situation. Would Russia "fix" the growing faith derived tensions in western Europe? Would Russia "fix" the growing threat in Iran, and North Korea? How about Iraq? How would the "new Russia", as you imagine it, "fix" those situations? How about the tension building to the south of Russia? How would Putin "fix" that problem if he arrived home from his meeting as a "superpower" capable of forcing the US to bend to his will without discussion?

What is your goal? Is it self determination for most people under the umbrella of reasonable rules of civility by both people and governments, or is it simply the destruction of the US, and the opening of the world to tyrant leaders again by virtue of the fact that the US and Russia become so busy playing strategic games of distrust, that no one pays attention to the plight of other nations, and uses them as pawns in the great game (again)?

Why does it strike me that the last "great" movie you watched was that puke art special produced by Michael Moore?

China's Premier Hu-Jintao was in the Kremlin just a few days back.
The joint communique by Putin + Hu Jintao reads something like this:
" No nation should intervene forcefully in the affairs of other nation. All nations, even a super power, should respect the sovereignty and independance of other nation, however small it could be. Conflicts between nations should always be sorted out by co-operation, not by coersion. Ans so on.. so forth.."

It is only China and India, who have not interfered in the affairs of other nations forcefully.Russia is trying to follow the same,after bitter experiences of Afganisthan and the break up the mighty USSR and the consequent turmoil.

I think the Asian Axis of Russia, China and India, the three giants of Asia, is going to become a reality, not for subjugation of other nations, but for mutual safety, economic co-operation,trade developement,scientific sharing.

These three nations represent half the humankind,they are strong military powers with nuclear capababilty, they are neighbours.I do not buy the notion that the Russians do not like Indians and Chinese because of ethnicity.Likes and dislikes are caused by behaviour and experience, not by how people look like!It is quite knave to think so.

You will see the Asian Axis gaining strength and momentum day by day.It is a geo-political naturality.

The G8 can not do this.They can not try to free any more countries.Forget this they dont care what counry it is or what government they have they will make up something to make them free their government.They cant do this. Does Putin have any ideas on how to stop the G8 before they start more wars over freedom?
