MUSHARRAF in NEWYORK & PUTIN in NEWDELHI--
A co-incidence or Read something in-between ?

December 3/4, 2004--Pakistan's President General Pervez Musharraf is in Washington,
meeting President GW Bush. At the same time, President Putin is visiting India.
A co-incidence ? Or carefully planned to co-incide?
Remember the 1960s & 1970s, when Russia was a trusted ally of our nation,India,
and the US was tilting towards Pakistan.
Is history repeating itself ?

I reproduce below What Putin said in India on December, 4 2004:-
The Times of India, 5th Dec, 2004, page 9.

" US accused of dictatorship"

" President Putin launched a blistering attack on the United States, accusing it of running a dictatorship over global affairs.Putin spoke against attempts to rebuild the modern system of international relations along the lines of a uni- polar world.Rising dominance of a single power will also increase the " global threats of international terrorism, organised crimeand drug trafficking".
" Dictatorship in international affairs has never solved and could not have solved such problems in the history of mankind. Only a balanced democratic system of international law could help ease those problems."

Wise words of. statesmanship. He stole the words from me.
What a single super power in the world can do, even against the combined will of the UN,
has been proved beyond doubt.
It is a great disaster for the third world countries when the second super power USSR collapsed, triggered by Gorbachev's initiatives under the name of PERISTROIKA & GLOZNOST. Gorby pulled out the link pins that held the super power together.
Now it is the onerous task of Putin to rebuild Russia into a super power, at least militarily.
I am glad that he is proceeding in that direction.

I really hope that Putin can pull it off, making Russia into a superpower again, and putting a stop to the US "global take-over".

Not just one man. One man to lead millions, to work towards Russia becoming a better place and able to stand up for both itself and the world.

Which "US global takeover" are you writing about here? The one where America is spending people and Dollars in an effort to spread the concept of self determination, and the defeat of totalitarianism?

What does that have to do with Putin? Putin has his hands full at the moment, as he tries to maintain the momentum of the new Russian economy. I don't agree with all of his methods, but even then, I somehow doubt that his current meeting appointment was made with the aim of returning to Moscow with news that Russia no longer has any work to do in further development of it's economy and social structure, as it is now a "superpower" again.

Despite it's growing pains, Russia is still one of the very few most powerful nations on Earth today. What role would your fantasy offer Russia? Would Russia "fix" the Ivory Coast situation. Would Russia "fix" the growing faith derived tensions in western Europe? Would Russia "fix" the growing threat in Iran, and North Korea? How about Iraq? How would the "new Russia", as you imagine it, "fix" those situations? How about the tension building to the south of Russia? How would Putin "fix" that problem if he arrived home from his meeting as a "superpower" capable of forcing the US to bend to his will without discussion?

What is your goal? Is it self determination for most people under the umbrella of reasonable rules of civility by both people and governments, or is it simply the destruction of the US, and the opening of the world to tyrant leaders again by virtue of the fact that the US and Russia become so busy playing strategic games of distrust, that no one pays attention to the plight of other nations, and uses them as pawns in the great game (again)?

Why does it strike me that the last "great" movie you watched was that puke art special produced by Michael Moore?

There you go. Lots of questions. Answer away....

Robo,

I doubt that you could recognize a real thought if it dropped into the bowl and splashed your backside as it passed through your body. If it isn't about the CIA or the Jews, it isn't news at all in your view. Actually, forget the CIA. You simply regard them as a tool of the Jews. In your view, it's all about the Jews.

Who knows, maybe you will open both eyes someday, and really take in what the world has to offer. I continue to be an optimist.....
