Nope.

You see no wrong with the current discriminatory policies of Latvia and Estonia which exist no where else in the former USSR.

You have no problems with those volunteering for a racist unit - the SS.

Answer for those two statements:
1. No discrimination here (not sure for Latvia but pretty sure in Estonia). If you can give me any proof then we talk again about this topic. But without no proof there is pointless to talk about it. I can too claim that there are living aliens (little green men) in my backdoor, but no one else can see them. But they exist. No proof needed because they just exist.
2. About Waffen SS units you should try to search little information beside those wich are sold and published in Russian Federation. Whole world aknowledgs waffen SS as front unit not prison camp guards but you repeat it like parrot that they are murderers, they are murderers. Just a example: My grandfather grabed a weapon and joined waffen SS because e wanted to protect is family against Red Army murderers - and only way he could do it was join waffen SS. He was fighting in Estonia (Blue Mountains) and if germans retreated he stayed here to defend Estonian Republic. He was captured by the russians and was sent to Siberia for 25 years. And you are telling that he cannot honour his fallen comrades? Most of 100000 estonian soldier are with similar fate so I really see no problem here with them honouring their fallen comrades. I see bigger problem here with Red Army murderers who are celebrateing occupation of Estonia in 9. may. No one as judged them but they should have their own Nurnberg process too for commiting genocide in Baltic states.

There was no "genocide" in the Baltic states as shown by how you all are around today in the existing manner.

Once again, millions of Russians suffered under Communism as well. My grandfather spent time in a Soviet jail because he was named in a bogus conspiracy because someone else was tortured to give names of people involved in the bogus conspiracy. Most Russians in Latvia and Estonia voted for independence from the USSR. The discriminatory laws enacted against them are not found anywhere else in the former USSR or EU.

Joining the SS to my understanding was voluntary and in order to qualify, one had to meet the Nazi racialist standards. The SS were very much indoctrinated in Nazi ideology unlike the regular units. Estonians and Latvians were considered part of the master race.

Sieg Heil!

The Balts in general were all to excited about a chance to goose-step along side their old Teuton masters. Well, that and the chance to throw their own Jews/undesirables out of the country (ok, so not throw, but kill) and then to kill as many slavs as they could.

I guess history repeats itself .

The Latvian, Estonian and the Lituanian SS.....

Even the most experienced and tried German stormtroopers were very surprised when they saw these Baltic boys in action against the defenceless Jews and Russian population.
They really did a good job to prove themselves to be worthy to their German masters.

Wink no idol of mine

I have been away a while, but I'm back. I didn't vote for Bush, that's allI'm saying on that. The US has it's problems but we must be doing something right, everyone wants to live here. Russia has had a short time to form a democracy. Let Russia form her own government and please don't let her country be taken over by any "ism" but rather be herself.
