Is American support spreading democracy to Ukraine, Georgia, and Kyrgyzstan? Was ousting Shevardnadze a good thing? Those countries have become pro-American; however, if they become democracies then I think this will not hurt Russia.
But what about Uzbekistan? There is opposition to the current government but this government is being supported by USA. Uzbekistan is America's ally against Bin Laden and the Taliban. Overall, is it a good idea to be allied to Uzbekistan's government?

He'd better send his funds to me. Result would be the same, but I would feel better.

Like I said before, when compared to Ukraine and Georgia - Russia is way too advanced for color coded revolutiions. I just received this e-mail from a friend:

Mike, thanks, as ever for the forward.

You are right on, as always, and this sort of gaffe just shows, yet again, the true face of the "objective journalists". Interestingly, today, it was reported in the Russian and international media that there were fights in the Ukrainian parliament and in the Georgian parliament. Both articles wrote about the fading euphoria and broken dreams of those who believed in these "colored revolutions". What is going on there, is "business as usual", only worse...

Re Khodorkovsky - yesterday I read that a Spanish YUKOS executive will be testifying against them and is already in a witness protection program in Moscow...

Talking

The USA are giving $ 85 mln for "development of democracy" in Russia.
That's no good.
The only hope this money will be stolen.
