Ochin' pryatna,

P.S. Yes! I like russian men. I just thought I'd mention it, before you hear it second-hand. But currently, I'm more interested in intellectual endeavors.

Your comments and insight is an asset to this club; thank you!

That means to me, the great survivors of the world need to start working in a way to get better leaders and a real democracy. That brave people of Russia will find the way!!
Having once been a journalism major in college, I can tell you what the American news media lacks in freedom, it more than makes up for in bullcrap, because it's owned by the corporations.

That being said, I don't believe what I'm told regarding world events. I check with the Europeans first, and the Russians, when I can.

Putin is doing what he needs to do. That's what I believe, and that's all I'll say about it. If it weren't for that Bible-thumping, cocaine-addicted COWBOY, we wouldn't be in this mess.

Smile Not as bad

I have a Russian girlfriend out here in L.A. She watches the Russian news all the time, and she (and other Russians here) tells me that U.S.-Russian relations aren't nearly as bad as FOX News claims; that while there are difficulties (missle shield, Kosovo, etc.), no one in Russia is as willing to resume the Cold War as Dick Cheney is, and as FOX NEWS claims.

In addition, for those who believe in the Bible, remember that Christ warned of wars and RUMORS OF WARS.

I'm not worried.

Can the oil supply for one country really be disconnected from that of all countries? Because as other nations seek to develop, their own appetite for oil grows, ebven while the developed countries like Russia and the USA grow to use different resources to replace oil.

I don't think the 10-15 years outlook for Russia's supply is very much different from what we see in the USA, except that perhaps the USA has a more flexible technology of alternative fuels, like solar panels and such.

Yet Russia has also had a strong scientific base of research into these areas.

There may be intense change in 10-15 years, but not necesarily collapse, if people are able to activate more alternatives that free them from collective dependence on oil.

After reading your posts, I would have guessed that you majored in comedy. You write like a Kool-Aid drinking stalinist, yet you call the mainstream leftist press in the US "corporate owned". And, of course, in typical Kool-Aid drinking stalinist minion style, you accuse Bush of things that he doesn't do, and blame him for everything wrong in your fantasy world. Your depth of political understanding can be measured in millionths of a millimeter.

You are very funny to read. Predictable, and not too bright, but funny....
