Was it a nice smooth election, a model election for all democracies to imitate?

Was there indeed a rainbow at the end of the storm-that has Russia entered better times at last?

The victory of a party " Uniform Russia " which is headed by Putin is one more step in a precipice for our country. Stability and successes of our country directly depend on the prices for oil. For last 15 years after disorder of the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics our country slides in a precipice. For example, the woman does not have husband, it should pay for an apartment about 1500 roubles + to eat together with the child + to put on and all it on 700 roubles. Earlier each family with children received an apartment free of charge, and now it is necessary to save for a separate apartment of years 25 and to starve. Here such here a reality which is hidden from all world by a veil of stability.

Раньше каждая семья с детьми получала квартиру бесплатно, а теперь на отдельную квартиру нужно копить лет 25 и голодать. Вот такая вот реальность, которая скрыта от всего мира завесой стабильности.

Vladimir Putin's party won the elections but reading your post I can understand people is not happy there with his goverment, so what happened then with russian democracy? Is it not real there? Because he won the elections. Can we then understand because Putin has the power he manipulated the results of the democratic elections? Too sad if that happened. That means to me, the great survivors of the world need to start working in a way to get better leaders and a real democracy. That brave people of Russia will find the way!!

Thank you for your insights of the currant reality in Russia. You mentioned in your reply that Russia will run out of oil or other money producing things in 10 to 15 years. The Econimist Paul zane Pilzer spoke of this in an audio cassette titled "Economic Paradigms", and according to him, we are running out of nothing-that our success depends on technology. For example, once it was believed the world will run out of oil by 2011, but because of advances in technology, the fuel injector was created and doubled the miles of cars, thus doubling the time oil would last, now if we run out of oil in the world, it would be after 2040. But again, technology saves the day, and Bio-fuel can replace much of the demand for oil.
Yes this is the World as a whole, but what of Russia itself??? Its supposed to run out of it's supply of Oil in 2020, or around that time? Well, lets consider Japan, it has never had large amount of oil or other resources and yet it picked itself up after World War 2 and made itself into a somewhat wealthy Nation today. Do you see? The Japanese follow all technology advances and sell products that are new leading products. My point is that even if Russia had no oil like the Japanese have none, Russia could yet be smart like the Japanese and make money.

God is in control, Russians and everyone will be OK.

Russia has more oil that all the Arab countries combined! It will never run out of oil. Now building an infrastructure to get it which will handle the permafrost dilemma is yet another thing. When they get that figured out, they will be the world's new superpower.
