Criminal Justice system questions

Hi, I also posted this in the School Projects section, but I thought it would also fit here.
I'm doing some research for my comparative criminal justice class, and was hoping some of you could help me out a bit. The assignment is to make a fictional account of experiences with crime and the justice system of a country we're interested. I chose Russia, and have already found out a great deal. I know about the underpaid police imposing "fines" (vzyatka? SP?) and criminal organizations requiring business people to pay for their "protection."
Basically what I'm looking for is two things: the first would be interesting personal accounts of people's interactions with the police, or other elements of the justice system. Also, if anyone could provide me with some information about the process that one would go through if they were trying to advance a case through the legal system. For example, would there be an emphasis on settling a case outside the courtroom? Would there be any kind of trial or ruling on the case?
If you could provide any of this kind of information, it would be a huge help.

Thanks a lot!

the criminal justice system has some to me said about talking about justice i one way to get the facts traight so that they are the truth. You need to know the truth because its important that the facts and the truth finds out perfet jutice you hve to know what the justice is you have to go get a criminals who has done a crime then you have to know who did it.Like a crime has ben done and then you have to catch the criminal who did it then you cant arrest the wrong one because that is not justice and the crimie will be done again because you didnt catch the rite criminals.A crime has ben dont in order to get justice you have to get the criminals before the crime is done again then you cant go out a arest someong because he looks the same yet they didnt do it that puts innocent people in jail then that is not justice so then the criminals justice system has to get justice they have to find a way to make sure that they catch the justified criminals that means the system has to consist of the facts of a person the truth about the crime dont and you have to make sure you have the rite guy to get true justice and if the criminals justice system is set up correctly you can be a hero and stop every crime ever because you know the rite criminals exactaly who the rite criminla is then the crime is not done ever again and the rite criminals is caught and taught not to do it again and then the innocent person who didnt do it is not in jail and then you have justice.thats how you get justice.the rite person.so they cant do it.
