I have always wondered about this.......Why is Russia's standard of living so poor?...Dont tell me it is because of the past because I believe in change....look at Germany, they also had a "bad" past...today, they are on the top in europe.....so it is not because of the "bad past"....so what are the factors that are holding back russia from enjoying prosperity....Please explain.....

(This Post is for Russians ONLY)

Why was the question for Russians only? Why can't I answer the question or give my opinion about it?
Same question could apply to my country, Hungary.

I hope, that our Russian friends on the board will satisfy your curiosity. If not, you can allways turn to me.
For the time being I will respect your wish.

Best Regards: Vorosilov

Communism. It breaks everything, for a long time.

In 1913 Russia was first in the world with twice bigger GDP than Britain, second largest. US could hardly get into the first ten.

The alternative answer would be:
Russians are idiots. Every single one of them.
