Marxman,

It is not uncommon to hear even experienced Marxists refer to the Soviet Union, China and Eastern Europe as "workers' states". This is an unforgivable misuse of Marxist terminology. As early as 1920, as we have seen, Lenin gave Bukharin a rap over the knuckles for referring to Russia as a "workers' state". He insisted that it was necessary to add "with bureaucratic deformations". Of course at that time these were comparatively mild deformations. Russia was a relatively healthy workers' state then. There is no comparison with the ghastly bureaucratic-totalitarian monster that emerged under Stalin. Suffice it to recall Trotsky's remark that, if you leave aside the nationalised planned economy, then the state in Stalin's Russia could only be compared to a fascist state. To describe that monster as a workers' state without further qualification is simply an abomination.

But there are still people that claim it. Even some experienced one.

oo

I feel the best way for a communist Nation to strive is to know how to accualy set up a communist government, and josem by saying that you have talked to a cuban person about how they feel about communism is not asking every cuban person and i havnt seen any atempts to over through cubas government other can failed U.S. attempts to assisinate him and to try toget the people to take him out of power, now back to the subject of creating a "real" communist government, in order to creat a thriving and rich communist government first you should have the resources, and the best way to set up a more stable economy is to use the majority of the worlds needs such as ENERGY which i feel is inportant for any government economy to have, and even though i strongly support communism i still feal that some beliefs of a democratic governemt arnt so bad.

I has noticed that a lot of people tend to look into the past and not the future, i feel that looking into the future (from the present) is better to do, but u cant forget of the past since it can cuase future problems and bring about better ideas.

For me basing my thoughts on percentages would be putting the past as 60% the future as 30% and the present as 10%.

Learning not to forget the past in order to foresee the future is our first, our most important task.
