Greetings dak51,
I just tried to read your postings again. I am sorry but I can not make out heads or tails. You seem too emotional about guns and not emotional enough about the 5000+ children
killed every year in gun related accidents.
I do not think that I could say anything that
would change your attitude, however I will try. Please formulate some clear questions and I will try to answer them. I have a question for you. You keep referring to a GOD
GIVEN RIGHT to have guns. What are you talking about? Your profile fails to tell us anything about you. Are you an immigrant like
I am? What part of the USA do you live in?
One last thing, you made an analogy between
Guns and Automobiles. I would like to point out that Automobiles are REGISTERED. The drivers are TESTED and LICENSED. ARE YOU READY TO APPLY THE SAME RULES TO GUNS AND GUN
USERS????????????????????????????????????????
I look forward to your question and your
ANSWERS.

WOW I leave town for a few days and return to this????You called me everything I despise,I thaught we could disscuss this in a civilised manner.Well at least I will.In your last reply I read you wanted answers and a little info on me.Well your detailed discription of me is a little inacurate, sorry to dissipoint you Ungaro.I have always lived in this country Im from florida.I DONT chew, its nasty,Im not a redneck. And Im 3 months from finishing High School.I dont go to Church,so I cant be "bible thumping".Well now that you know a little about me Ill answer your Questions.

1.Yes kids are killed in accidents with guns, but they can be eaisly avoided with gun locks and the parents teaching their kids to stay away from guns. The gun does not get up and shoot the kid.Its the parents fault for not keeping the gun in a safe place

2.I never said It was a "God given right to own guns" I said it is a God given right to live free,Im not reffering to the Christian god,It could be any,as humans we are born free, only others with their mind filled with power take over and dictate others lives.Which I belive is worng. Here is a statement which helps me prove my point

"Through history, authoritarian governments have often limited gun ownership as a way to keep their subjects, well, subjected.
Although most Western nations are not authoritarian, I argue that limiting weapon ownership to government officials concentrates their power. As the classical liberal Lord Acton famously wrote, "power corrupts; and absolute power corrupts absolutely." We must not let the power fall into a select few,for If it does they will have the power,Guns=Power.Thats a true statement,What kind of power good or bad is determined by the user.

Im looking foward to your replies Ungaro,oh and lets try to understand each other, not call me silly names.

Greetings dak51,
I feel very comfortable using those names on people with attitudes such as yours, as they
relate to guns. Should you ever convince me that you do not fall into that category, I will not hesitate to ask for your forgiveness. I think that your dependence on guns and your love of guns is probably the result of your environment. It would be best
to use your own words to convince you of this. Please answer the following questions
with as much deep thought as you can muster.
1. In Japan last year they had 160 murders.
In Houston Texas they had 280+ murders. How do you explain this? Do you think that the availability of guns had something to do with this?
2. A large percentage of the murders is crime of passion. Husband kills wife, husband kills boy friend of wife, wife kills
husband, wife kills girl friend of husband,
father or mother kills children, children kill mother or father or both, children kill children, chidren kill teacher, etc, etc,
The frequency of these crimes is unparalelled
in any other country. Do you think that the availability of guns have something to do with this?
3. A person in England would not want to have a gun in the house. This can be said of the citizens of many other countries. Are you safer than they are? Are they less free
than you are? The answer to both of these
questions is NO. The crime in this country
makes you less safe and less free. Do you think that the availability of guns contributes to crime?
4. The Assiciation of Police Chiefs and the Association of Sheriffs both tells us not to use guns against intruders. Whom do you beileve, them or the NRA?
5. Over 5000 children are killed in gun related accidents every year in this country.
Your analogy between guns and automobiles is
morbid. Still, I want to ask you, are you ready to apply the same rules to guns and gun
users as apply to automobiles and drivers.
Ie, registration, testing, licenesing?
What are you going to do about all these children getting accidentally killed by guns?
Do you think that the availability of guns
contributes to these accidents?

I could go on for ever. The fact is that guns are made to kill. Remember, I love to hunt and fish. You are not corresponding with some radical liberal pinko. We just see things different when it comes to guns.

You wanted me to answer some of your questions. Go ahead and whip some on me.

Good Hunting and Fishing.

Well, thanks for the luck in fishing Ill need it,its been slow around here.I dont know how I can convince you that Im not all the things that you mustered to call me without meating you.
Yes the avilibalty of guns does contribute to deaths, that cant be contested. However you can take away guns, but you still have people wanting to kill each other. That needs to be fixed before you take away peoples rights. Its very sad that people perfer a Dictatorship over Anarchy.I would take the chance of getting shot over living a less free life.I LOVE freedom,I have enjoyed it so much I would rather die than give it up.I also like being able to protect myself,If some one breaks into MY home and threatens me you bet I will defened myself!
In this country kids had easy access to guns all its history, yet only recently they have begun to shoot and kill each other.Something I think IS SICK.My theroy is I leave people alone and they should leave me alone.People are losing morals and I WILL NOT sacarcifce my freedoms because of their savage behavor.
Also there is such an inmense amount of guns already in america (in one buy back alone in one city there was a mound of guns 50 ft. high!!)even if guns were taken away from citizens. Criminals would still have them. And what house would you rather break into HOUSE A-no gun
HOUSE B-gun
I know what house I would break into, the one in which I would have no chance of getting shot.If you take away guns from people you have alot of helpless people left.
Gun control measures may have worked in other countries because there was little or no guns to take away.In this Country however There is alot of guns,It wouldnt work here.Lets try to teach our kids right from worng and get this sick socity we live in cleaned up,then mabey no one will want to kill and everyone can own as many guns as they want or dont want.Im a good person with good morals,I never hurt anybody, and If I had a gun that wouldnt change a thing,I have access to one,but I never use it to hurt anyone. My only use for it is target shooting, hunting, and if needed defence.Remember Ungaro I also wish for a world without guns but that will take a long time. There are still people out there that harbor greed, lust for power, lust. Those people suck. But as long as they are around to use a gun to harm or oppress me I want to also have a gun to protect myself.Good Hunting and fishing to you as well.

oh and what do you fish for?Im mainly a salt water and Bass guy myself. Resepctfuly,DAK51

Greetings dak51,
Those names apply to the GUN LOBBY PIMPS and REDNECKS whos manhood is incomplete without
their guns. You are neither. I regret using those names on you.
You are somewhat confused about your freedom.
Individuals can best protect their freedom
by being informed and VOTING. Not by guns.
Are you saying that Guns and Gun owners should be threated like cars and drivers?
Ie, registered, trained and licensed? That would be step in the right direction. Now, about fishing. Strictly Largemouth Bass. I have caught them up to 11lbs. We have some great bass lakes in Texas. Sam Rayburn, Toledo Bend, Lake Fork. About once or twice per year I go fishing to Mexico with friends. It's great down there.
Let me hear from you.
Good Fishing.
