Hey...I'm doing a project for my English class and I need a topic..I used to live in Russia and want to do something on it. I need to know what issues are controversial now that have been for awhile. ex...Americans always associate Russia with communism..I would like to put something in about Russian culture..any ideas? Thanks!

So you want something to prove them that Russia is not communist country? I guess news work really bad in U.S. well, make a project about "Fall of communism in U.S.S.R." tell them that U.S.S.R. was not only Russia, it was many different nations in it, and in 1991 it was destroyed by a good guy named "Gorbachev" and all those countries became independent, and democratic

noooo...people know communism has "fallen" in Russia..but some people when they think Russia they think communism...I don't know why...anyway...i just wanted controversial issues about Russia...what makes people so mad about? what do people argue over..this sounds like i want to start a fight..not so..just curious..thanks!

how about"what have happened in russia when president yeltsyn was in power."
concentrate on peoples lifestyle and money.
