Talking

The main difference betwing Canada and the US is that US is like a big melting pot, anyone who comes in blends with the Americans, in Canadian schools you can even get a few day off on russian holidays. Evry friday teachers let muslams go at about 30 to 12:00, for their prear. That is the real diffeerence-- in Canada you can stay who you are. Canada is not a slawe of America, It's just economicly dependent bekause it is so close. Just like US needs Canadian resourses.

Dear Andrey,

Why exactly do you hate the North Atlantic Treaty Organization? Do you think we're going to invade?

Na Zdaroviye to our neighbo(u)r to the north: Canada

Yes, I suppose our country appears to be under the thumb of the USA. I suppose it's what happens when you are next to a superpower. In one way, our two countries are so similar; and in another so different. But I don't mind

I hear most countries think that we as Canadians are too passive. Any comments?

Me, I love having such a variety of nationalities (of people) living around me. And, just recently, the addition of many more Russians. Specifically Russians because my family is part Russian, and I am quite intereted in learning about my family heritage. Not to mention my love of Russian cuisine. It was the immigrants who came to this country that made it so diverse - I am proud of it

I hope to see many more Russians come to my area of Canada in the very near future.

I LOVE HOCKEY; I learned french from the cereal boxes; and I still wear my lumberjack socks in the summer.

How do we, Russians, view Canada? Well, some people think that it's very cold and when they think about Canada, their imagination pictures snow and hockey and fur coats.

My friend likes Canada very much. She tells that this is a very good country with weather very close to Russian, nice people and stable (one of the best) economy.

Neither me nor my friends and people close to me have ever thought or heard that Canada is a slave of the U.S.A.!

I think that Canadians are very open hearted, friendly and positive people.

Thumbs up

I know this one!

By the way, thanks for the compiment on the wine here - I quite like it too. A vast majority of it comes from the Okanagan here in BC.

It's so cold so we can produce our SWEET wonderful ICE wine
