Hi,
My name is Marie-Andrée, I'm a Quebecker, I'm in really interested into Russia's history, especially about communism. Unfortunately, most people here are really misinformed about Russia and so I am. You know, when someone talk about Russia here...They usually talk about the vodka... So here I am, thinking that the better way to get to know more about Russia's history would be in asking directly Russians. Why is it in the school sections ? Well, because we're having a "debate" about communism and capitalism soon. So what I want to know. Sorry to suond really dumb, I don't know much things about Russia's politics and History. - Lenin. I think he was the first leader of the soviet union and adopted the New Economic Policy. He was communist, right ? What do you think about him. Do you think he was a good leader or not. And, if you consider the political social scale, he was more facist ? - What are exactly the Bolsheviks ? - Stalin. Successor of Lenin. So second leader of the Soviet Union. What's exactly "Socialism in One Country". What do you think about him? Good leader or not ? I think he was facist. But, my History teacher told me he was not really Communist. Is it right ? I'm really sorry to bother you, I just don't want to be misinformed and I want to have many opinions. Thanks a lot for answering me and sorry for my mistakes in English, French is my mother tongue. |

While waiting for replies, I suggest you can use forum's search to find threads related to Lenin, Stalin, Communism/Capitalism. There were MANY of them.
For example, here's just one link to thread about Stalin: http://www.russia.com/forums/showthr...?threadid=3458 |
