Russian soliders take poles WWII

Hello people
u know in 1945...how the russians (not germans) invaded Poland (Vilna) and they took the poles out of their homes, and put the lucky people on cattle carts, and sent them to Siberia, what happened to the other people?? did they go to a concentration camp?? if so where was it, and what happened to the people that died? did they gas them??
