Title:"Antoine Laurent Lavoisier - Detour: Follow the arrow: ==> LOVE"
- The awareness of the difference is the direction of the change. - The enlightening intelligence within the flesh. PROLOGUE The validity of the following is based on the fact that man is considered an intelligent being. For "intelligent being" is meant the merging of the attribute of the faculty of the intelligence to the living flesh of his/her living body. They are thought to be two distinct elements making up a whole: the individual. Rhetorically, if one assumes flesh as material-substance then what the enlightened intelligence is made of? However even if intelligence cannot be identified or distinguished as substantiable matter whatever intelligence is, it resides within body of the individual. And is a fact that the flesh of the body hosts, concurs and participates during the daily acting together with the virtue of intelligence. Intelligence then, can be considered cooperating or coexistent with or within the flesh and even cohabitant with it, and cohesively interrelating with the flesh; but intelligence, again, it is not flesh. Intelligence, it said to be a capacity of its own make. Consequently as we will see in this rationale intelligence is something else different from being material-substance. THE ANNOUNCEMENT Lavoisier proved that during chemical reactions the weight of the transforming elements is conserved during the process. Using a bit of more proper language that means that the mass of the products in a reaction are equal to the mass of the reactants. And from the time that this law was enunciated which was some time during toward the end of the eighteen century, this announcement become an unassailable law in chemistry. Nowadays, more than 200 years later, after close scrutiny and a cross-checking of many clever scientific minds, the law enunciated by Lavoisier still stands, it is retained flawlessly. Lavoisier, at the time of this discovery, was unaware of the importance of his law that was meant to affect not only the field of chemistry but also another important aspect of the human life. From the eye of a scientist like Lavoisier everything within the universe can be considered having chemical properties and chemically-doing-something or for a physicist all is energy or for a mathematician all can be measured quantitatively logically justified. However, even if this is meant to be a shorthand way of stating the First Law of the Conservation of Energy and Matter which are both are pertinent to the Conservation of Mass. The law also concludes that there is a before-and-after energy balance during chemical reactions, i.e. the sum of the mass of the reactants is equal to the total mass of the end-result. Then, because of this finding, the amazing announcement followed: "nothing can be created and nothing can be destroyed." Scientifically, unquestionably proven Incidentally and interestingly enough the Greeks already anticipated what Lavoisier proved with science. The Greek axiom which remained without prof for many centuries, already predicted such assertion on this truth. This postulation was claimed even if our Greeks ancestors didn't not know too much about modern chemistry. However, the axiom was already stating that in the universe all is "only" mutable and within this mutation nothing would be ever created and nothing would be ever destroyed. If we think closely to the meaning of this statement it implies a "perfection" of a sort: a balance. Then at later time approx. 1790 the maxim has been confirmed with the rigorous fact of science. This was done by the father of modern chemistry: Antoine Laurent Lavoisier who then died in Paris in France 1794. We also should think that from a philosophical point of view a chemical reaction is also "a logical system of a sort", where said system is able to produce a transformation of elements. But Lavoisier proved that such system is energetically-balanced therefore, said balanced-system is admitted to be in -equilibrium-. And this equilibrated balance is equiponderance for stability, constancy; stable equilibrium, immobility, soundness, vitality and resolution inducing anyone to think that there is some concept of perfection within such law. Therefore the law of conservation of the mass is also "perfect" at its aim which purposely, in fact maintains a perfect balance of energy. Empowered of this specific knowledge that nothing can be newly created or destroyed and exiting the chemical lab of Lavoisier and looking up the sky we might think to apply this rule in a more large scale, in fact, this -system- which for a moment applies only to the realm of chemistry claims also another important fact which is: there is a constant amount of matter and energy in the universe. And this amount of energy even if, all mutations are possible is fixed and cannot be altered. And this "transforming" system is able to maintain this perfect equilibrium of energy where perfection is used in the sense of perfectness, indefectibility, impeccancy. And sovereign: completion, complete, elaborate, do, execute. And completeness: complete, entire, whole, perfect, full, good, absolute, thorough, unequivocal, essential, perfect, finished. remarkable, of mark, capital, cardinal; standard (perfect); inimitable, admirable, etc. Further more Dalton's atomic theory, few years later after Lavoisier's death, announced that all substances are composed of atoms and during a chemical reaction atoms may be combined, separated, or rearranged, but not created or destroyed. And we, posthumously, children and modern students of Lavoisier and Dalton inherited this knowledge and if we, two hundreds years later, would consider ourselves disciples and scholars of these honorable ancestors, there would be nothing wrong in understanding what out ancestors left us. But, very importantly would also be the fact that we children, students and disciples, living in a more modern times as intelligent individuals would understand more than what our ancestors did. And this is the objective for any scholar: surpass the teacher. Our ancestors left us at a rung of the evolution's ladder and we would place our step on a higher rung. Students are meant to surpass and exceed the knowledge of their teachers. This is the way, let it be! Then as the intelligent student eager to claim up another rung of the ladder of progress there is another powerful conclusion to be made from the teaching of Lavoisier and the reaffirming Dalton. Lavoisier's intention was not applied directly in theology nor his philosophical knowledge was ment to support spirituality. But in the end, Lavoisier perhaps unwillingly and/or accidentally stumbled in a very powerful standing in religion affecting dramatically the future of Mankind thus not only in the chemical world but in a much more universal way. In order to understand the importance of Lavoisier's work we must give his role to Mother-Nature. In fact Lavoisier says to fellow Man that: "....nothing is ever created, nothing is ever destroyed." Now, let's to reverse the roles, in a pretend dialogue, between Lavoisier and Mother-Nature. And we might find ourselves witnessing a sort of labor dispute between Antoine Lavosier and Mother-Nature who is a powerful Lady representing the living universe and all natural beings and who is saying now, openly to Lavoisier that he, man, representing Mankind cannot create or destroy anything in her realm. And her realm is important because it includes the entire life and the entire universe for eternity. Therefore such dialog even if would be seen as a labor dispute of a Union vs./ Corporation is important. Then, it is a fact that the fellow Man: Antoine Laurent Lavoisier, as Man cannot create or destroy or alter a single iota of energy in the of Mother-Nature's dominion, i.e. the entire universe. Never! Let's to anticipate that the fact that Man cannot create or destroy at first might appear to be a very crippling limitation for Mankind but there is a twist and as we will discover. At this point it is clear that at stake there is the ability to create material-substance in the realm of Mother-Nature where this ability would be the ability to create. Creating like God Himself. But the situation is taking an important turn. The dialog with Mother-Nature anticipates that the ability of man to create is not exactly like God's ability to create but a bit different. Creating? but to create what? or, importantly: how to create? This issue is quite important and for us: children and students is fundamentally critical. And again in order to reinforce the imperative claim, strongly and loudly, Mother-Nature tells to Mankind that fellow Man cannot introduce or take away any energy from the universe. At this point Man is unquestionably prevented from altering the energy-balance cycle or to -introduce- any material-substance- in the universe therefore it seems that Man is prevented from -creating- altogether. And creativity is not allowed. But creativity of what? Because of this denial, i.e. to create, Man impacted in something that is different from his essence and nature or at the very least what he believed that "creation" was. Like a man driving a car who while driving he expected the road to continue in order to keep on going driving, suddenly the road stops and emerging from the center of the road a very large sign appears: " CLIFF AHEAD. Wrong Way! Don't trespass. DETOUR, follow the arrow." Man didn't expect the road of his creativity stopped with Lavoisier's Laws ending the idea of "creating". Simply for the fact that Man was expecting the continuation of the road. Total freedom of "creation" in the universe. Possibly like God creates. Within the main message from Mother-Nature to Lavoisier is also another powerful one and that is the universe is "energetically" completed and finished. And Mother-Nature is telling Lavoisier that any "creational" contribution on Man's part is unnecessary. Actually, further more, the universe is well done! Perfectly placed: in equilibrium, and its energy is balanced. Things are moving and transformed into the universe, and everything thing is going somewhere but the total energy remains the same. And no new creations are allowed. Therefore from an energetic point of view the universe is completed. So, Lavoisier and Mother-Nature sits one in front to the other at the negotiation table. But at this point anyone can see a barrier placed between Man and nature where this barrier is a long and huge sheet of glass which prevents Man to introduce or taking anything to or from the other side. Man is prevented to create material-substance. The scene between Man and Nature reminds visiting a zoo and because the of presence of a protective separation like a window or a shield of glass the visitor cannot feed the animals or take anything away from the cages. Let's to observe this type of visitor for a moment. A visitor can enjoy himself, understand and love the animals of the zoo, love and live and enjoy an ice cream or a popcorn but he would not be allowed to bring in, or take out nothing, but the visitor lives his own experience, learning from it and apply his own intelligence: therefore intelligent thinking, learning, sentiments and inspiration are available to him. But this spiritual growth dimension is not the "the other side of the glass". Then suddenly an intuition. How about if behind Mother-Nature message to Lavoisier representing Mankind there is something else to be understood? How about if Mother-Nature is trying to convey another message beyond the "nothing can be created or destroyed". How about the fact that since Man cannot create material-substance and because he cannot go trough the sheet of glass Mother-Nature is trying to convey a different message? A message that implies something to be understood using intelligence. Perhaps Mother-Nature is trying to convey the message that Man cannot create material-substance because of some other reason. And the reason would be that Man is delegated in one different dimension. For thousands years Mankind thought of -creativity- erroneously. Man was supposed to create something else in a different dimension. And the error would be creating "substance" in the wrong place. How about the presence of the obstacle in creation would mean that Man should read the sign "Detour ... follow the arrow ... go another way" which means that continuing in this direction is wrong. Change your direction and the arrow points to this new understanding, the delegation of man not to be concerned with creation of "material-substance" but the direction would be toward another dimension. If substance cannot be created what else could Man create? If Man couldn't create flesh and substance what is left? What is left is the spiritual dimension, the direction of awareness where -intelligence- acts. This dimension pointed out by the detouring arrow is not the creation-of-material-substance but where the process is the spiritual grow aiming to the change of the Self because of understanding. In fact the dimension of -understanding- is not materialistic. According to Mother-Nature material-substance is not in existence. In fact material-substance is not "allowed". How about if Mother-Nature is trying to say to Mankind that such direction taken toward material-substance is wrong? In fact this direction is so wrong that there is an unsurmountable obstacles in front of Man. The unassailable fact that he cannot create nor destroy. Like the road's sign which says this direction would be wrong the sheet of glass will not allow entry: "Detour, change direction". Then facing the fact that Man cannot create or destroy it seems intelligent to conclude that the only alternative left to Man is the ability to be aware of his own spirituality because of his own intelligence. Does this concept sound familiar? According to Mother-Nature even flesh doesn't exist because all would be spiritual in nature. In fact even if the obstacle of the sheet of glass which represents the impossibility to -create- Man can still love and Man can still learn and understand and move, if he wants, because of knowledge mountains and galaxies and Man can still be compassionate and intelligent and keep on going moving and transform things in life and germs and atoms and live and give significance to things and to himself and perpetuate his living. But, all this doesn't exists past the sheet of glass but in his heart which is a different dimension altogether. The dimension to the other side of that sheet of glass would be impossible, thus preventing Man to create something that it does not exist: material-substance. What we should understand is what Mother-Nature is preventing Mankind and that is only one dimension is existence and no others, and that is spiritual. The dimension where Man can only create one thing and one thing only: himself, spiritually. And the only dimension possible would be the one that indicates love. Love brings awareness which in turn brings the ability to learn and to be inspired, intelligence and significance. Therefore the conclusion is that energy within the universe can neither be created nor destroyed by Man or by any other creature therefore all left is the ability to act in another dimension: awareness. And awareness is not "substance" but spiritual, where the spiritual awareness is the ability to "see" and understand because of personal intelligence. Then perhaps the powerful student ... then, perhaps, the fruitful scholar would understand that human intelligence is the God-whitin which is prevented by internal personal conflicts from surfacing in the mind of the individual. If love would remove hate the God-within would surface. EPILOG According to the rules of Lavoisier Man is prevented from -creating-. This is so because the perception of creation is erroneous. And it has been erroneously conceived for thousand of years. Science demonstrates that Man is delegated not to the dimension of an non-existence-substance but to the dimension where Man is not prevented from feeling love, affection, compassion and rational thinking and pursuing knowledge and knowledge of the Self . (Delphi: Know Thyself) Ideas are moved by a different "wind" than physical force and they are spiritual in nature and the ability to formulated them and perceive the Self in thinking (Descartes) it should not be difficult to assert a self-contained-dimension where a force acts differently from physical energy but such force is the force of love where the religious impulse is acting. Another ancient and honorable source confirms this claim. The North American Indians had a religious foundation based on the principle that everything in the universe has a spirit. But remains unanswered the question whether in Man's spiritual journey he would read and act because of the sign in the middle of the road : "Detour ?' Lavoisier's work caused the highway maintenance people to put up this very visible sign: "Detour." It had been posted already for over two hundred years on the highway of human evolution. Renato L. This article is coincise and -communication efficient- because addresses deep and important issues in just 884 words. I think. I also wish this article to be printed "as is" and be it as it may. Happy Holidays. ################################## Article (start) ########################## Re: Darwinism State College December 29, 2004 Phil, You know my position: many scientific claims are fraudulent because the trendy scientist, philosopher, thinker and theologian do not acknowledge the spirituality of the inspiration and the responsibility for coherency within the creative process. In fact, as you know by now, I call this dynamic blend made of inspiration and creativity: "Human Intelligence," which in turn produces all the arts and information, science included. Men and Women without the justification of an emotional-intelligence, without the justification of a Spiritual_Within take a very dangerous positions. Already Mankind is challenging God with blasphemy and eventually, this type of individual will increase such challenge to God's Perfection. Perfection is well illustrated by the synchronicity supported by many philosophers and particularly strongly by Aristotle reinforced by Lavoisier and the Zen philosophy. Therefore for this very reason of challenging "perfection" many scientists claim becomes faulty but audiences of scholars find strong reasons tooppose the misjudgements of science. Then I also find as a secondary social effect, that in many cases these "misjudgements" are part of an architecture or an orchestration to re_direct sums of monies to self-serving programs in the direction of the supremacy of a market. I also witness that many corrupted scientific claims aim at marketing rather than the deepening of the truth of knowledge. Quantum Mechanics is a typical example of this. However I don't find flaws in the understanding of some of Darwin's theory. And I am not opposed to the fact that the physiological cycle of living organisms allows the perpetuation of life. And, perhaps this is the only way I accept the -half- mentioned theory of evolution. The other half which I found missing but common to many other scientific claims is a rationale which employs the fraudulent use of time. Einstein reigns in this fraudulent standing where we find the calendar time used in replacement of natural phenomenology. During a scientific rationale calendar time, which is a convention is assumed erroneously as a natural phenomena: this is a mistake which allows the scientist the liberty of weird mad conclusions. The only value of time is the perfection of the mind illustrated by the synchronicity of Aristotle. Time is synchronization and nothing else. Synchronization is perfection and perfection is conducive to spiritual harmony. The current scientist opposes PERFECTION and opposes the spiritual nature of the human intelligence and consequently opposes God. Therefore if the modern scientist is not aware that all scientific experiences are seen because of an inborn human-intelligence whatever the scientist claims for himself/herself is only half of a truth. Half of the truth is not the whole truth therefore the promise of a "WHOLE" fails and it remains that half of the truth is a lie. Referring back to Darwinism, there is nothing wrong within the information in the ape-to-man theory nor in the fact that one day I would grow wings because I would become an angel. I think. In tune with the received article at the same time I neither find wrong to feature pictures of giraffes stretching their necks to feed high off of trees nor I find wrong if Darwinists want to teach that whales, which are mammals, evolved from black bears swimming with their mouths open. However I understand that scientists will suffer embarrassments when a scientific theory are presented without a sound validity. This is also the case of the Darwinists like many others who use erroneously the featuring time rather than inspiration for the completion of the scientific information. We withness the attempt of evolution as a theory attempting to identifying the origin of life. This idea is foolish to start with. Can we prevent men being fools? The answer to this question is:"no." Men and Women are entitled to their own stupidity and madness as an experience which is a springboard for corrections and learning. Human madness is unavoidable. However, there are no origins and no ends to life simply because life is perpetual dynamic motion. Perpetual means eternal and many individual don't like to accept the idea of "something" being eternal because they know better and they are going to prevail in the challenge to God's ETERNAL PERFECTION. Referring back to the article you sent I think that children should be taught the spiritual value in the arts as a by-product of good compositions and semantics. So that typical schoolchildren full of wonder would live in a world best described as a marvelous work of art. The snowflakes that grace us at Christmas time typify the artistic beauty that bestows joy on all ages but all this is not the employment of madness but the employment of human cohesive and coherent intelligence. The efficiency of the artistic message within the arts depends on the enlightenment of the human mind and not on the blurring or darkness of it. whew...thats a pretty long post..and i do appreciate it, though i think it would be better if you framed your words better so that you could convey all that you had to say in a shorter essay.
Anyways, your article was fantastic as it merged higher science and mathematics with religion, which indeed, is one of the most baffling of topics in modern sciences. if you want to know more about the actually biophysics definition version of the word " life" read the book "Prey". well, i am very happy you came up with such a splendid topic. please write more. thanks. regards, justin. |
