The M1 is almost 30 years old and battle proven. Imagine what the US could build today. If we believed newer Russian Tanks were a threat we would be acting to produce capabilities to counter it. We'll I don't know maybe there is some secret project in the works. The main debilitating factor of the t-95 is cost. Since the treat of the tank wouldn't be from Russia herself it would be from a buyer. I don't think many countries would be able to purchase any kind of substantial quantities.

Little info on RPG-7:

Calibre 40mm
Length 950 mm
Mass 6,3 kg

Grenade GP-7V:
Calibre 105mm
Mass 4,5 kg
Range 200 m
Penetrating Ability:
Brick wall 2000 mm
Wood 3700 mm
Concrete 1500 mm
Reactive Armor 700 mm

Look at the last number: it’s enough to RELIABILLY take out an Abrams.
[/b]
Thats undeniable proof that the Abrams weakness is been exposed openly on the battlefront and is due for a replacement. Nice comparison.

The M1 is getting on to 30 years old now. It doesn't however need to be replaced, the fact that a well placed RPG could knock it out means nothing. A well placed RPG could knock any tank out.

All Russians love the T-34 it was easily destroyed by the German Panzerfaust, does that make it a poor tank?

Tanks need to be used in open ground where RPG attacks are unlikely to occur without the attacker being seen.

I see attack helicopters replacing heavy tanks. They are more manuverable, mobile and versitile. Just need to work on vunerability.
