Sukhoi

Sukhoi fighter jets are rated very high by test pilots here in India.

One Indian Wing Commander says that it has whatever a fighter pilot wants in his machine..!

It looks lean & mean & performs deadly..

But it should be used only for deterrant and defence.

Hello to everyone!
I was looking for some info on tanks and I accidentally stumbled on this forum. I must say I find it very interesting, especially the part with the F-117.
You see, I am from Serbia, and I was still a teenager when that NATO agression happened. I remember clearly those days, but one day in those bad times was truly special. That is the day when we shot it down! This is a fact. With what, still even we (civilians) don't know, but rumors say we shot it down with NEVA missile when the pilot was checking if his wepon bay is operational (then he was cought on radar, because weapons are not stealthy). In fact, I think that was some really old Russian radar that scanned him, dont know much about it.
We had only few MIG's-29 (lets say about 6 or 8) and few MIG's-21 that could "parry" NATO's 800 (or something like that) aircrafts. I think there was no way our MIG shot down F-117 cause we had old NOT UPGRADED radars which could see only i think 30 kilometers and worked when they want (in 50% cases MIG's radars did not work at all!) We had some really brave or mad pilots (as you want) those few nights when they flew. Some of them died honorably, dragging down with them few NATO pilots (in a desperate fight crashing into them when nothing else worked).
We even had a postcard, with F-117, it's in the attachment.

p.s. Only God knows how many stealth planes we shot down or damaged.

Good work Serbia. The fewer NATO war planes, the better.

Well, shooting down one F-117 isn't really anything to write home about. I have killed thousands of flies over the years, yet there are plenty more in reserve. With NATO in command, you should feel shame that Serbia didn't take out all of the F-117's in use there at the time.

After all, doesn't NATO stand for "Not Able To Organize", or Not Able To Operate"? Something like that....

Well, I guess You don't know with what kind of prahistoric weapons we shot down their planes. That NEVA missile, works something like a sling-shot, and every night when the air-raid sirens started to "sing" the sky would soon turn red, full of our Praga AA ammo (something like 88 flak guns from WW2). I only regret that Russia didn't want or couldn't deliver (even land us, not give away) us just ONE S-300 AA system, just one..just for one day.
And NATO is even more dangerous because of it's lack of organization. Then the civilian buildings and civilians are likely to be targets (and sadly they were.... whole buildings/blocks destroyed , with no military presence in them)
If we lasted for 10 or more days, surely NATO would give up, but then again, we surely wouldn't be winners. Last days of war, they were so mad that they started to bomb random targets, they were prepared to bomb our dams and power plants an every single part of infrastructure that could be of any civilian use.
