Good point! You would've thought maybe it was...well, now I suppose it's a somberous reminder for those future visitors to outerspace. They seem to think that human passenger travel to outerspace will be soon enough.

MIR for sale...?
I followed the decent of MIR,i'm just curious was there people in boats in the south pacific trying to scoop up bits of it(whatever was left of coarse)out of the water to try to sell it on places on E-bay thinking they could cash-in on it?Has this happened?

Hi Jaroslav!
I haven't heard about that yet, but let me say it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it started to happen. Too bad e-bay wasn't out for the collapse of the Berlin Wall! ![]()

Kapitalism
I remember when pieces of the Berlin Wall(or supposed pieces of it?)were on sale around 1990?I doubted the authenticity of it.Former Communist/Socialist momentos are neat trinkets to have for some Westerners to own. When i was in Bulgaria last year,i saw a lot of this stuff for sale.I opted to buy hand-made Bulgarian cultural artifacts instead.Karl Marx and Lenin are not Bulgarian culture, except in terms of idealogy and the former politics in Bulgaria. All i have to say on it is Communism-Kapitalism!

I think the remains of the Mir station would have burnt. People of South Pacific were scared that this burnt space station might fall on there head let alone look for the strategies to sale it as a exqusite antique of Mordern Russia.
