Question

Hi people out there

I am sure there are a couple of you who had the same problem and solved it.

I need a way to write in russian on Mac in MS Word and Mail applications. I tried loading fonts and keyboards from the web but it doesn't seem to work.

Please help to figure it out!

Thanks in advance.

Ksu

Thanks for the advice. I am aware that one can buy stuff -even russian keyboard. But I am too frugal - I want free software.

Any other ideas?

Plushka,

I'm not a Mac user (Linux on a PC here), but I have a hard time with the thought that a Mac can't speak Russian out of the box.

Do a Google search "Russian language on a Mac", and you will find free fonts to download. Good luck, and think about a PC next time (just kidding).

Yea I know this thread is old. I use MS Word for Windows, so dunno if it is much different for Macs but...if you go to Insert>Symbol, a box will pop up. Scroll down a bit and you should see all the uppercase and lowercase Cyrillic characters!
