Woman Gets Back Speech
after Traffic Accident

A woman hit by a car in Khabarovsk, the Russian Far East, has recovered speech as a result of the accident.

The woman was hit as she was crossing the street in a proper place, the press service of the territorial Interior Department told the press on Tuesday. The traffic policemen who witnessed the accident tried to record it however the woman energetically defended the driver who had inflicted minor bodily injuries to her. It turned out that the woman had lost her speech several years ago as a result of an emotional shock and despite all doctors' efforts, she was unable to recover it.

Due to the accident she recovered speech to her great joy.

Interesting story!

There was a story similar in our local paper once where a man recovered his eyesight after being smacked in the back of the head by a baseball. How lucky is that??

I find this interesting. It could become a new form of therapy someday...

Imagine, restoring lost senses with blows to the head..

Or, perhaps, it is phsycological? One could go through a simulation in which they recieve a heavy blow to the head, and are cured..
