when posting here, i would advise people to send in quality materials and serious stuff, and not babyish playthings not worth discussing. Regards, Justin.
I believe that Marco-Polo said he was still in school. The poor young kid is interested in science and this is how he's treated? I thought his topic was interesting anyway.

But you know what, it's not up to us to decide whether a topic is interesting or not, just that they stay within the rules.

Otherwise they'd name it the "Science and Whatever Interests justin1987 section".

I think Justin had a bad day. I had a few bosses during my life that thought being in a such a position meant that they had to devote a lot of time making negative comments to the very people who made their job possible. The end result was that none of their staff had any desire to even say hello to them. Most grow out of it in time though.

Justin is a very bright guy. His acedemic skills are sharp, and although I have no desire to try and tell him how to run his forum, I would enjoy the hell out of this corner of Ru.com if he would write "seed posts" about things like electrons and sub atomic particles that would spark interest from old farts like me, as well as from young scientific pioneers that are still building their understanding of the physical world around them.

Sort of an educational/challenge kind of thing that begs discussion. After all, every great mind of modern scientific understanding began their career with a flawed foundation, and making remarks based upon that foundation. It was only through encouragement, discussion, and personal drive that their understanding evolved to the point that they added to the total mass of human understanding during their time on Earth.

Maybe Justin can build the science forum here to be a place where understanding is nurtured, and the basis for future discoveries are formed.

I find the whole thing facinating. I mean, going from something as small as an electron to the vast expanses of interstellar space is well, cool. The numbers involved are spectacular. Hats off to the dude who invented powers.

I find it interesting that everything in our universe seems to spin, or have an orbit. Like Marco-Polo pointed out, the correlation between the smallest molecules and the largest objects known in our solar system. Maybe it's a rudimentary observation, but how and why it got like this is't so elementary, I think.

first of all my apologies to anyone who found my post to be rude and hurtful...believe me, i never meant it to be that way...i was merely suggesting tht it would be so much more interesting if people came out with queries regarding the ever fascinating subject of quantum physics or something like that, but of course, like c-force rightly said, i shouldnt have really been so rigid in this stand, as after all, everyone is welcome to post topics they like as long as they pertain to the rules. so, sorry! (and cheers voyager, for being understanding!!)
well, now going right into the discussion, it is indeed a very awesome observation that all things rotate and revolve about their individual axis. even electrons, which lie in various different sub_orbitals, like s, p, d, f etc, spin...and have spin quantum numbers. anyone here like to comment more on it??
regards, justin.

Perhaps we are not all as smart as you and don't know much about quantum physics. Some of us would be interested in discussing the subject heading.
I found an interesting site Marco. Please check it out.

To Justin1987

I've only been on this site for a couple of days now, and just beginning to get a feel for what it's like here, but there seems to be a common denominator running in many of the various forums, and that is such a cavalier attitude as was demonstrated in your initial reply to Marco. I understand that you didn't intend to come across being as such and also know that you have been reprimanded justly by some of your peers. But my question is this, does this tend to happen fairly frequent on this site, or is it more conducive to a free flow of all who care to participate here (as it very well should be)in an effort to learn or glean information they happen to find interesting? Please, let's not be so judgmental of others, as there is nary a one here who is without blemish, certainly myself included. I would like to stick around here and learn, contribute, etc. if the environment is such that will allow us the ability to post on here without fear of being looked down upon by someone who feels “far superior.”

for your information, no one is any more or less superior than others, and certainly not in the science forum. so, i think your talk of a comon denominator in all the forums is utterly baseles, besides, you were here only for a couple of days as you said, so, please do not critize about something which you only think about and you're not sure of.
and whoami, you certainly dont need to be awesomely smart and know the basics of quantum physics to contribute in this forum...you are welcome to talk of anything thats pertaining to science. so, go ahead.
