post WW2, Nazi scientists and technology
Hi.
I was wathcing a program on Discovery Channel yesterday and it was the race by the USSR and the allies for Nazi scientists towards the last days of WW2. I was wondering how many nazi scientists did the USSR get after WW2, because the program only documented american and british getting the scientists. I know that the USSR got some of the technology because the of the fighter jets that were used during the Korean war were both similar on both sides. If the USSR did not get any of the scientists but just parts of the NAZI technology then I guess I would say that the USSR was the real winner during the cold war as they didn't have the scientists and had to reverse engineer the products to understand how they worked. I found it also amusing and sad that the creator of the V2 rocket had a important job in NASA and creating rockets for the USA.

Do you have satellite T.V? I don't recall reading anything regarding "the race for nazi scientists [as prisoners of war]." Please let me know if you find that in writing... I know stalin kept his own scientists under the careful lockdown by beria [ prisoners of a " scientist gulag"]...during the race for A bomb technology. Natalie How about debating exactly how much information [correspondence] from high nazi officials was actually recovered, intercepted and horded during the storming of Berlin. |

Hi.
I was just wondering if the USSR got any of the nazi scientists to help them develop technology for the soviets during the coldwar, or if the soviets only needed their brain ![]()

Were they actually still considered "NAZI" scientists...by the time the cold war developed... Natalie P.S. Are you asking if the soviet union still had nazi prisoners of war? I suppose the russian government could hire anyone they were willing to pay, if the price was right and it wasn't considered a conflict of interest with their own government (not including spies). |

hatalbr: No they were not referred to as Nazi scientists but during the NAZI reigime they held high positions.
I was just wondering if any of the russian space team that launched Sputnik up into space were ex nazi scientists working for Hitler. Yes hatalbr I do have satelite TV but sadly they got rid of fashion tv back in 2002 I think so now I can no longer watch the beautiful Russia women models at 9am in the morning .

I just know this will work: I am wrong, you are right. I am wrong, you are right. I am wrong, you are right. Are you going to continue to brow beat me until either: A) You get a response from anybody else B) You get a more desireable response from someone else C) Or you find my obvious weakness [in WWII history], and in turn you will wait llike a spider and pounce on me. P.S. I love lookin' at hot, young russian men myself... Nataszh |
