I wonder what any of your think about the outcome of eBay v. Bidder's Edge. It is the case where eBay was allowed to rule out search engine's webcrawling on eBay's site unless the license fees are paid. The outcome - preliminary injunction - brought many similar cases in courts of the world. Basically, as I see it, once someone claims property rights on some sectors of the public domain (internet) and gets it....there is no stop for further privatization of the net. And laymen are the losers. You know who laymen are, right? Me, you, and everyone else.
Let me know what you think of it? For I still don't get it how such an important case slid from public eyes?
