Sukhoi Company Starts Tests of Civil Aircraft
RIA-Novosti - This August, the Sukhoi aviation military-industrial corporation will start the tests of a new multi-functional multi-purpose aircraft S-80, Mikhail Pogosian, director general of the corporation said on Monday.
The plane can carry up to 3.5 tons of load across a distance of 650 km and about 2 tons, for up to 2,000 km. Its passenger version can carry up to 26 people. The plane can be employed for both civilian and military purposes.
Pogosian thinks that the S-80 aircraft "has good prospects, according to preliminary marketing data."
