hi guys,

Russia is trying as hard as it can to keep Mir up at least for a little while longer. this doing of ours upsets the "international community" not a little, especialy our american friends, who say Russia's efforts on Mir decrease its capacity in the project of the international space station, in which Russia has yet a significant part to play.

i'm afraid these fears r justified, since Russia's space resources and potential have been much reduced lately. and Russian scientist move to the West, especialy the US, and Russia's loosing its intelectuals.

yeah, here i go again- whining! that's not right. heads up, like Russians, right, Nazionalist?

p.s. i luv Yura.

luv 2 all.

Thumbs up

The Mir and the USSR are history. I think Russia should forget the past and move ahead with the world communnity or fall even further behind.

Dear Gene,

u r making a little bit light of it. it's like Mir is history, so forget it! it's not that easy 4 a country to just let go and forget something they valued 4 such a long time.

luv, ev.

straighterway,
I have friends that still drive their 30 year old automobile from their high school days. They love their old cars but while they spend time and money on old clunkers I just drive the newer ones that are relable and get good gas miliage, but to each his on.
But then If your choice is to drive a clunker or walk then drive the clunker.

Hi gene parrish!

Do you know that the Russian word MIR is translated into English as Peace or World. Do you really thing that peace & the whole world like USSR are history?

About the 30 year old car: may be today Russian "MIR" is not very new for Russia, but if we compare Russian & US space scince - US are need more 25 years to construct Russian moduls of "Alfa".

To Straighterway:
<<<<<has yet a significant part to play>>>>>>
It's not normal that US has a monopoly on comanding the "Alfa" station. Especialy in the case of Russia is duing the most advanced moduls of the space station, which cannot being done by any other country.
In this project we can replace the word combination "international comunity" to just US.
