CANADIANS APPRECIATED FANTASTIC DISCOVERY OF RUSSIAN SCIENTISTS

MOSCOW, 21 February. /RIA Novosti correspondent Eduard Puzyryov/. The first fantastic discovery publicized last summer by a group of Russian scientists at a press conference in RIA Novosti will, probably, be implemented in practice.

According to Vasilios Katsabanis, a Canadian businessman and head of the "Agrimex International company", the largest agreement signed in the course of the visit to Moscow of the Canada Team headed by prime-minister Jean Chretien, was his contract worth USD 168 million with the Volgograd Scientific and production centre "GRUS".

The contract stipulates for industrial production of independent power supply units "of a principally new type" which, according to the businessman, "might change the whole system of electric power supply to population".

Anatoly Ryzhenkov, president of the "GRUS" centre, reported that such power supply units were created as a result of "a number of fundamental discoveries made by Russian scientists and which could cause revolution in industry and power engineering".

According to him, GRUS specialists managed to develop the technology of mass production of small energy generators which "without any special technical additional charging might uninterruptedly generate electric power, practically, without sacrificing their capacity".

At the same time, according to unit constructors, its service life is unlimited.

According to the contract, the Canadian side will finance construction within less than two years' period of two factories: one in Russia, the other - in Canada. They will produce 70,000 independent power supply units. The power capacity of each of the units is from 3 to 10 kwt.

This is quite enough to supply power to all electric devices in an apartment, cottage, office of a small enterprise.
