Yes' I feel that a re-engineered version of the TU-2000, is an exilent co venture between the United States and Russian aerospace communities.
There are many potentials that arer proposed as re-worked on the former TU-2000, which are being brought to the forefront. 1.These are, a better disigned airframe. 2.Better exterior airframe hull cooling. 3.Near to Earth space positional near space jet modules. 4.A fit in cargo module, which is drive through based, so that outsided cargos can be inserted into the new ship. 5.Possably a streatched version of the TU-2000. 6.Better inflight and near space aveonics systems, which are modularized, in order to consolidate inflight and near space flight path work-loads. These are only some of the changes that have been proposed and may go to President Putin's, as well as President Bushe's desk, for joint approvals. If this craft does achive the Super TU-2000-X series, then I'm sure we are looking at not only better near space colonization, however a complete moon colony, as well as a Mars colony all by the year of 2012. Please keep in mind with these changes, we are looking at airliner turn-around times, which would greatly accelerate both landing profiles, and turn-aound times, till flight level launch. Thank you very much, Spa-see-bo, Danelovich my chosen, or Dan in American English

I wonder what is American interest in it.
They have their own X-43. Or the two planes might compliment each other.
