SanDiego,

I may be "old" but I'll run you ragged around the tennis court without breaking much of a sweat! Old! I'll show you "old"!

Well actually....

professional wrestling can not be called a sport. It must be technically called an exhibition because the outcomes are predetermined.

Now you have really found a point of shame for me living in Texas: the popularity of WWF here. As one who wrestled in college, it makes me scratch my head that people actually invest time in that ludicrous art form. Just my .02 though!

Wrestleing (PRO)

I do seldom watch TV but if I visit someone, I get to view that pro wrestling ,as it is not proper to toss a brick through a friends TV screen. The thing that gets me is that city police such as HPD play along with the fakers. This makes them a part of the routine in the minds of children. When I was younger I would notice this and question the moral character of those who direct the police department for allowing them to wear the uniform and involved in a scam such as this.

Talking

College wrestling bears very little resemblance to that professional exhibiton 'wrestling'. Althought I have watched it in the olympic competitions. It is a little less than exciting to watch. I figure it is only exciting to the other competitors, family members and coaches.

I think alligator wrestling is more educational.

To each his own Lenore.

True, if you are into scantily clad cheerleaders, nonpertinent sponsor banners, and beer commercials every three minutes...you'll hate Olympic wrestling. But if you aren't into Bullsh**t, it's one of the few TRUE sports left over today from the early Greeks. And one of the only sports mentioned in the Bible. Even Abraham Lincoln was a wrestler.

But then there is always Olympic badmitton, golf, or cross country skiing for those weak of spirit.
