As my mucka at work would say American football is Rugby League in fancy dress. Rugby League player don't need to cover their soft woofy bodies in bits of armour, they is hard from the outset. And they play for 80 minutes with one 10 minute break. They dunt stop everytime some fat blob needs to suck in some air.

Look at the Paul brothers to see a coupla real hard men

Rugby League is the game for men.

Now as a Serb, Football is the worlds game, but as you can't stop every 5 seconds to get you breath back and wieghing 250 pounds is a disadvantage the Americans just don't wanna know.

No, its not Rugby in fancy dress.
I watched rugby few times, and from what i can tell, you get hit hard of two or more players go after the ball, but in football, you can get hit hard even for standing around, and its not shoulder to shoulder hit, its a full speed where ever i get you hit. in football, players go out to hit/smash, they need gear just to stay alive, and not to avoid hits. Play some real american football, and then tell me how you feel after the game.

The yanks just nicked the idea of the game and 'cos' the players were so wooly and fat they had to pad them up.

If you don't believe me watch the Super League or the NRL on a sports channel before you reply.

I've played Union, League and wooly American football and the hardest game which requires the most fitness is Rugby League. (Then it's Union then in wooly pad boys)
