Real Madrid will figure out that you can't buy out the best man in every position and have a good team. I love the individual talents on Carlos, Zidane, Raul, Figo, etc. but they cannot play as a team. Real will need more people from same countries that know how to assist each other. Otherwise it will take too long for them to figure out how to play as a team and Real is a really impatient team - look at what happened to Anelka.
Anyhow, good team like Milan and Bayern which have had developed players for a long while, or that play for the same countries are the true winners.
Although I must say that Schevchenko was a suprising addition because I never thought it would work out. For example Rebrov is struggling over at Tottenham. But it did work and now they have a great young talented striker.
On the other hand you have Manchester United who sold one of their best defensemen - Stam - and bought a frenchman without having any others on the team. That is why Blanc plays so poorly. Sure he will shine sometimes but that is only his individual talents showing through.
Football is a great game, but lately it is becoming not a sport but a business. With teams like Real and Manchester buying out good players and still making money to get others - that will not leave anyone for other teams and they'll always dominate.
Sparta Praha is one of the best because they are not a flashy team but they have played extremely well.
