This website is called RUSSIA.com, it should have Sydney 2000 olympic coverage for Russia!
It should list all the sports from Russia that are participating; as well as gold, silver, and bronze medal count. How come its not mentioned here? [This message has been edited by eerina.l (edited 16 September 2000).] |

OK, here's the latest about Russia in Sydney Olympics 2000.
So far, Russia has 1 Gold and 1 Silver medals. The gold was won in "Men's Fencing Individual Epee"- by Pavel Colobkov, and Silver was won in "Women's Judo 48kg."- by Lioubov Brouletova. At this moment, Russia is 5th in madal standings, Australia is first. |

Not only team medals. Aleksey Nemov won gold in the All-Around and horizontal bar competitions, bronze on pommel horse and parallel bars and a silver on floor excercise.
Yelena Zamolodchikova won the gold on vault and floor; Svyetlana Khorkina won silver on floor and gold on uneven bars; Yekaterina Lobaznyuk won a silver on balance beam and a broze on vault and Yelena Produnova won a bronze on balance beam. I think that currently, Russia is the leading nation on this sport along with Romania. |
