Safin the 20 year old from Moscow blew the best tennis player in history(based on grand slam victories) off the court today. There was no competition as He took barely an hour and a half to beat Pete Sampras 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 in the U.S. Open Men's Tennis Championships today. Congratulations to Marat Safin. The future of tennis, not only for Russia, but for the world!!!
There are few ways to beat Pete Sampras, but today Safin made him hit low volleys at the net, which caused him to hit up right back to Safin, who hit passing shots past Sampras time after time after time. Safin's serve was unbeatable, Sampras couldn't break him even once. And Safin's unforced errors were around only ten. It was an awesome performance!!! I've played and watched tennis for most of my life, and I have never seen a player as good as Sampras get beaten by so much in a grand slam final. |

Hi! I've seen this wonderful match. I've watched Marat play years ago & I am totally positively surprised with his great performances! Beating Sampras isn't a simple of cake but it sure look so when Safin beated him short!!
It's great to see such a young talented player developp his capacities this way!! ...now, if Anna could do the same instead of producing a sold image of herself & letting the adults in her life control her every move! But that's another story, right? Carla. |
