Hello Voro!
I don't know if they will be able to win with the Czecks. I don't think so, frankly. Despite the fact the Czeck team is formed mainly of the NHL players, their team is a strong European team. While Russians seem to be a weak American team. I don't know, maybe this last game with Finland would be enough of a shock for the Russian team. And they will spend some time training? |

Hallo Ilay, The Russian team really have to put together it self against the Czech team. It is a must win situation. If they play their best they could beat the Czechs. I hope they use their time well to prepare themself for the game. I would like to see Igor Larionov to finish his great international career with olimpic gold medal. I loved to watch him to play in the San Jose Sharks with Makarov, Kozlov(not the detroit kozlov) and the young Ozolinch. They really knew how to "hide" the pack. I am happy for him in Detroit too. So lets hope the best tomorrow.

On Russian forums there are many talks that poor presentation of Russian team is made intentionally.
That at the final part of the tournament noone will know about the tactics and strategy of the team. Personally, I don't believe it. But if it's true - than the coach (Fetisov) is a genious. What I'm absolutely sure about is that the first goal with USA was received deliberately. In the very beginning of the period, two absolutely unnecessary faults... And the smile of Fetisov ... Then I was watching the game I decided that the player have put their bets, that the Americans will be the ones to put the first goal. Or to make a show to American public. Well, let's watch the match today and see. |
