Well the results look good, for now. I like Yagudin he really does skate great but my favourite is Plushenko, and he went on to be the 4th.

But still he can go up, during the free program.

How about Alexander Abt, he also dances quiet nicely plus I liked the music of his program.

By arousing this noise Canadians and Americans will get only one result: artistry and elegance will be banished from figure skating. The judges will take into accounts only technical skills and skaters will be afraid of using beautiful and effective but risky elements in their programs. Figure skating will get technically immaculate but very boring.
Sorry if I hurt anybody's feelings.

bon,

I hope that won't happen. I don't understand the people who are complaining about this at all. The Canadians skated well, but it wasn't nearly as beautiful as the Russians' skating. They got good technical marks, so they can't complain. It's on the presentation marks where they lost out. And it's not as if the Russians got 6.0s. I think it was judged fairly and the best couple won.

Hello jutka
I agree. I think this Gold medal is really disputable but not through judges' fault but due to controversial results of the contest itself. The Canadians were technically immaculate, the Russians were more interesting to watch. What is more important? Matter of taste. I prefer to see something interesting. And to say like many pro-canadian fans about "evident to all" collusion is ridiculous.

Today Marie-Reine Le Gougne, the French judge accused of collusion, said in an interview to 'L'Equipe' that she was really under pressure to vote for… the Canadian pair. She acclaimed that members of ISU have been influencing judges in favor of the Canadians for several months since the World Championship, 2000.

Well… hmm… what is the truth?
