RUSSIA VS TUNIS: THE CARTHAGE EAGLES LOST

The score was 0:0 after the first half of the game. Russian halfback Yegor Titov had a very good shot to open the score during the last seconds, but he missed the goal. Russian halfback Valery Karpin was very active during the game, but, unfortunately, the Russian team missed the final pass, although there were several dangerous moments. On the whole, the Russian squad controlled the game: Russia’s activity was 69% vs Tunis' 39%. Unfortunately, two leading players, Alexander Mostovoy and Aleksey Smertin, did not participate in the game; Igor Semshov and Ruslan Pimenov played instead.

Yegor Titov opened the score during the second half of the game, and then Valery Karpin scored another pinalty goal, 2:0. The Carthage Eagles hung their heads after they missed the second goal, and Russia continued its attacks, but the score did not change, 2:0.

Russia’s legendary soccer player Konstantin Beskov commented on the game: "Like I thought, the Russian team managed to realize its advantage during the second half, players Khokhlov and Sychev were very good after the break. It is very pleasant that our young forwarder was not shy and played bravely, helping to attack. I would not distinguish anyone in particular, as the whole team was playing hand in hand.”

Russian national head coach Oleg Romantsev said that he was happy with the result, but not with the contents of the game with Tunis. He added that it would be difficult to brush Japan or Belgium aside with such a game. Russia will play against Japan on June 9.

Yo Canada sucks at Soccer, but at least we are the dominant nation in Hockey hehehehe....

I still maintain the fact that it will be a England vs Germany final. As for those who talk about Argentina, I laugh in your faces. They didnt even qualify.

As for Portugal, they lost to the USA :S

As for Russia, they lost to Japan. :s All is not lost though, but they better finish 1st of their division.

If they are 2nd they will face Brazil in the second round. A game Russia doesn't even have a chance to win.

My parents are german and Irish, so I guess Ill root for them.

Canada, 75 th in the world, behind such great nations as Zimbabwe and Iraq*shakes head*...

Canada, 1st in the world in Hockey*smiles again*...

Talking True Dat

CANADA IS THE BEST IN HOCKEY!!!!!

And for England and Germany, I think you're right. I was hoping Italy would win, but I guess my dreams were shattered. Too bad.

Are you Canadian? If you are it's nice to know there is someone else here that was born in Canada or something.

Best Regards,
kokoilin

Red face

Hey Willie, England can't lose tomorrow whatever the result. Last eight for a team everyone predicted wouldn't make it out of the so-called group of death.

Maddog McClaymore? I bet you play rugby.
