Assistance is greatly appreciated...
...even if it is only in the humor department. I guess there are too many Yanks and Texans here and very few Russians who can offer local travel information. Or maybe they are all just ignoring me...Oh well.
Natalie, are you really going to help me pick up chicks??? How thoughtful. Unfortunately, this trip won't be anything but a "get a lay of the land" in St Pete tour. Here's my Master Plan: One week in Moscow in November. Two days in St Pete for the birthday bash. Two more months of listening to those damneed Russian language cd's. Then I might be lethal! I sent you pics...did you get them?

Castlestormer, one of the best ways to travel from Moscow to St Petersburg is the fast train, which takes you there in about 4.5 hours from Moscow to St Petersburg, only thing u need to consider is that you have to reserve your seat on this train. It's a superfast train hehe that tops at 210 km/h :-) but well its nice, its gets you there fast, safe and you even get something to eat and drink in the train, i recommend you that way of travelling from Moscow to St Petersburg.

I took an overnight train from St. Petersburg to Moscow just a couple of weeks ago. It was great because I saved a night's accommodation! I took the Red Arrow at 2355, and it arrived in Moscow at 0800 the next morning. It was great for me!
