I'm curious as to which is the easiest way to get a visa? I don't want to have to make my friend's pay and stuff for an invitation. But with a tourist visa you have to register with a hotel and I don't want to do that as I'd stay with friends, yet I'm too young to get a business visa like my friend Debra does when she goes every year.
I really love Russia, and I want to go in the Spring before I leave for the Army. (I'll be in Germany then, so I plan on visiting while I'm there as well) Hugs, Liza

Hotel registration
It's easy. Have your friend to go to any tourist company and purchase a tourist invitation + vaucher for you from them. It will cost some $30-40 USD and will be issued in 15 minutes. Then you'll obtain a TOURIST VISA in the RF Embassy.
REGISTRATION TIPS: In order to register yourself with a hotel and not to waste your money for a lousy accomodation you should do the following: 1) Book the reservation at a cheap hotel for the whole period of your stay in Russia. DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY IN ADVANCE! 2) Upon arrival you check into the hotel and pay for 1-2 days, i.e. not for the whole period of stay saying that you'll pay latter as you are not sure about your travelling plans yet (if asked) as they usually ask how you prefer to pay. 3) In 2 hours you get your passport with registration and leave the hotel for good. In "ROSSIA" Hotel in Moscow that works 100%. (It's my personal experience). Good luck! ![]() |
