Hi.

Can anyone help me to find information on the best air fares for flights from New York City to St. Petersburg or Moscow?

Is St. Petersburg considered to be a part of any particular province or region of Russia?

It's always hard to say, but it's worth while to check around.

I was told by one travel agency and Lufthansa that a flight from Vancouver Canada to Moscow is $3500 CAD. Completely outrageous. I did some checking and found the same flight with KLM (including a free overnight stay in Amsterdam) for $1320 CAD.

Apparently, Aeroflot has some cheap flights out of NY (if by your name that's where you're from - I'm not sure )
and also it's and idea (depending on your age) to check with ISTC. Try http://www.istc.org

I bet you can get airfare to St.Pet or Moscow for about $500 -700 roundtrip. Try Aeroflot or just priceline.com

As well as I know, there was a direct flight NY - SPb by Aeroflot. I'm not sure if it still exists, but maybe...

The price for the roundtrip was below USD 600.
