First time traveler to Russia-

Hi! I will be traveling to Russia for the first time in late October from the U.S. I was wondering if someone could tell me if there is any vaccinations that are required or recommended? I have not heard of any that were needed but I wanted make sure...Thank you for your help!

First: BE CAREFULL. Do not show your money. Don't trust taxi drivers. In the airport of Moscow (Dovodedovo or Sheremetyevo) use OFFICIAL TAXI only. Another taxi drivers can be criminals. Watch your laggage.If you have any questions in the airport associate with PERSONELL only.
Pay the russian hotel while you are in USA. Don't forget about guarantees. AND DO NOT FLY AEROFLOT!!!
In Moscow:
don't use the subway particulary at night. In Moscow almost every car is a taxi. When you take this "taxi" (in russian - bombila) FIRST OF ALL make arrangements about price. Don't get in the car if you do not know the price. Don't pay more than 500-700 RUR - its high price.
If you see more than 5 Russians walking together on your way try to avoid them.
If you want to drink a coffee choose COFEYNYA like COFEHAUS or SHOKOLADNITSA.
Russian militsia (police) is most dangerous than criminals. Don,t smile them if they stopped you. Your passport must be always with you. Don,t let militsioners touch you and your pockets. Remember its dangerous. The phone number of the embassy must be always with you. Memorize the phone number. Militsioners can pilfer your mobile phone.
Many russian girls are infected. Use condoms

My little russian friend I condole with you about Russia. Of course Russia in not the best place to live. Experience? Please don't lie to yourself. Traditional russian question " what to do" has got very simple answer: Russians! Revise your own russian perception. Russian traditional haughtiness must be put aside. Enemies there are only in russian imagination. Try to live. Integrate into the human space openly. Do not envy when another nations enjoy the life. Don't lie first of all to yourselves. Russians! Don't forget that other nations in Russia are humans and Russians are not the hub of the universe. Get rid of your imperial manners and fascist intentions and ideas.
Another favorite traditional russian question: "Who is guilty". And who is??????? Americans? Europe? Extraterestrials?
And may be ( it's only supposition) Russians are guilty? How about this version?

Do u really think I am scared? It looks like typical Russian swanky snobbery. For some reason Russians suppose that everybody in the Uviverse are affraid of Russians.
