Russia is situated on the northern half of the globe in what is commonly termed Eurasia. Comprising of almost half of Asia and a sizable part of Europe, the land area known as Russia is quite extensive and is not easily covered on a map.

However in order to help you to become better acquainted with the area, we have provided a basic map which shows the areas and boundaries of the various regions. If you are planning a trip to the country, it is advisable that you find out where you will be heading and what to expect in that region as the climate and other geographical features can change quite drastically from one side of Russia to the other. If you are planning to make your way about without the help of a tour guide, a few good street maps are a must. Whatever the case, we hope that our map of this vast territory is helpful to you.
